UNIQUE LONDON CONFERENCE TO UNLOCK THE POTENTIAL OF THE US$24 BILLION LOW POWER WIDE AREA NETWORK (LPWAN).

LPWAN World Forum at 1 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf (November 9-10), attracting multiple vertical markets looking to exploit the Internet of Things (IoT).

The key to turning the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) into a multi-billion-dollar market within the next five years – Lower Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN) - is the focus of November’s LPWAN World Forum at Canary Wharf in London, and high-profile speakers and exhibitors from across Europe and beyond have already confirmed their presence.

Only last month, MarketsandMarkets, a leading USD-based market research consultancy, predicted the market to grow from around the estimated US$1 billion today to over US$24 billion by 2021. This aligns with other predictions as sectors from telecoms and technology to automotive and utilities look to capitalise on how the transformation of the telecoms industry and the rise of the Internet has made this possible.

“The response to this event has been nothing short of remarkable,” said Mark Johnstone, Managing Director of Nexus Media Communications.

“LPWAN technology is absolutely critical to the delivery and realisation of IoT. Quite apart from the business potential for companies around the world, we also have to remember that it is expected that there will be up to 50 billion connected devices by around 2020, which is putting access to the services enabled by LPWAN into the smartphones and laptops of the consumer as well,” he added.

The event is being staged at 1 Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf in London and key speakers already confirmed come from companies including the Schiphol Group, BT, GSMA Arqiva, ABI Research and 3GPP.

“LPWA network technologies are really beginning to take momentum. As this industry grows and develops, the market is transitioning from private to public networks, with 66% if total end-points predicted to be connected by public networks by 2021. Already, utilities and smart city service providers are increasingly willing to test and trial public LPWA networks,” said Adarsh Krishnan, Senior Analyst at ABI Research.

Homes, buildings, cities, industry and transport can all benefit significantly from LPWA Network technology. Press and analysts, service providers, cable companies, and government authorities are just some of the key exhibitors who will be present at the event, creating opportunities for companies across all industries.
